I am naturally an introvert, so this article grabbed my attention. It outlines five strategies for delivering a speech in public. Some of these strategies I have tried myself and I am sure they could work for extroverts as well as for introverts such as myself.
Here is a link to the article, 5 Strategies for Introverts at Public Speaking at Thrive. Give it a read and see if you feel these strategies could help.
What has increased my confidence and my skills has been beeing a member of my local Toastmasters Club, Gloucester Speakers. You will see many references to this club throughout this blog. What I like about the club is that they teach members how to develop skills in speaking through a supportive and self-paced approach. You get to know the other members and everyone there is willing you to succeed while also giving you insightful and supportive feedback to help you progress.
If you are in or around Gloucestershire and interested in developing your speaking skills, then I’d suggest giving Gloucester Speakers a try. If you are nowhere nearby, then look up Toastmasters International and see if they have a club more local to you.
