Of course, you do; it’s a take-away coffee cup.
Yet. It is not any ordinary coffee cup, it is a Starbucks coffee cup. Furthermore, it is not just any old Starbucks coffee cup, it is a Starbucks Reserve coffee cup.
This cup says a lot about me. It says that I drink coffee at Starbucks, which means I like strong tasting coffee. It means I like to drink with young studious people or with business people. I don’t like weak, tasteless coffee or drinking with families; if I did, I’d drink at Costa.
The fact that this is a Starbucks Reserve cup, indicates that I am fussy about my coffee. I enjoy different coffees from around the world and am interested in different ways of making coffee. Starbucks Reserve outlets are few and far between, so the fact that I have a take-away cup from one is an indication that I am dedicated to hunting out the best coffee.
There is of course, one type of coffee shop better than Starbucks Reserve.
I am talking about independent coffee shops run by dedicated aficionados of coffee. These are specialist places which go out of their way to serve the best varieties of coffee to their customers. Such places, I love but they are rarely open in the early morning, which is when I drink my coffee. That is why I like Starbucks; it is open to serve good coffee when other places are still closed.
